We kicked off Thunder by going to Richland Bike Bash on Wednesday night. We were supposed to take Thursday afternoon off work, but it was cold and rainy, so that got nixed. We did make it downtown later that day (after the rain finally stopped), but it was a ghost town so we didn’t stay long. We went downtown Friday and Saturday night, too. We ran into a lot of people that we knew and it was nice to catch up with everyone.
We took Friday afternoon off and rode to Duman Lake County Park. Saturday afternoon, we rode out to Pool N Pork in Nanty Glo. We were surprised to be charged an admission fee. I can only hope that party picked up in the evening as there really weren’t any people there. We did not stay long.
Sunday, we put Lizzy in the sidecar and went for a quick ride through downtown and Richland. She enjoyed it, as always, but it was pretty hot out.
While Thursday was a washout, at least the weather was nice for the rest of the rally.
