erika and nick

Yesterday, my niece and her fiancé were married. Jake was in for the week because he was in the wedding, so that was a bonus for me. It was a relatively small wedding (under 100 people) and took place at The Chetremon Event Venue, which was really nice. The ceremony was outside on the courtyard, and the reception was inside. Luckily, they had a nice day for it. I took Jeff as my “plus one” and we had a blast. It was nice catching up with my former relatives, and I was so happy for Erika and Nick! The food was delicious, and Erika outdid herself with the crafty decorations she made for the event. Ivah dusted off Ed’s biscotti recipes and made a bunch for the wedding. Needless to say, I grabbed some to take home. She also printed and framed the recipes, so I got a copy of those so I can make them myself.

On a related note, I was also invited to the rehearsal dinner. I assume it was because Jake was in the wedding, as I did not have to go to the rehearsal. Anyway, that was at the Imperial Room in Ebensburg, and the food was delicious there, too! The Imperial Room and Backroom Saloon are partnered in some manner, so it’s no surprise that the food was good.

All in all, it was a pretty great weekend!
