a house of dynamite

It’s been a while. This is my slow time of the year. There’s not a lot going on. I had my parents over for dinner (halupki!) last weekend. And, Wednesday was the yearly Boscov’s 25% off sale, so I took the day off and went to that in the morning, and then made lasagna for supper (and the freezer).

Back to the topic at hand…This was an intense movie about what happens in the White House Situation Room after a nuclear missile is launched at the United States. As you may or may not know, it wouldn’t take long for a missile to reach us, so the same story was told from three different perspectives because otherwise the movie would have been over in less than 30 minutes. Spoiler alert: the ending was open-ended, and this really annoyed me at first, but I can’t stop thinking about the movie, so I guess that was the point. It would have been nice to have some closure, though. Also, Idris Elba can be my president any day of the week.

My rating: 4/5
