This was a great adaptation of the Stephen King short story of the same name. It was not what you’d typically expect from King–it was more of a feel-good movie (sort of). I’d been wanting to see it since it was released, but it did not play in Johnstown, so I caught it on Fandango last night. Frequently, Stephen King adaptations fall short, but this one did not. I’m wondering if it’s due to Mike Flanagan’s writing and direction. Let’s hope he does more King adaptations in the future!
