When we renovated the bathroom many years ago, we put in a new tub. About 5 years later, the tub started having issues with the finish. A Google search told me that issues with the finish were common in the model we purchased. Just my luck. Not surprisingly, the problem worsened over time so I started looking into bathtub refinishers and found one that looked pretty good. I had the tub refinished on Monday and am very pleased with the results. It has a 5 year warranty, so there’s a good chance the new finish will last longer than the original. The first time I took a bath, I felt like I was in a hotel–it’s been so long since the tub looked good. It was well worth the cost.
