father’s day

My dad really likes the socks I make so I decided to make him another pair for Father’s Day. I started them at the beginning of the month, which should have given me plenty of time, but somehow I ended up going into the week before Father’s Day with only one sock completed. It has been a busy month. Anyway, I figured that I could finish a sock in a week, no problem. And, while I did, it wasn’t the best experience. I timed how long it took to make the second sock and it was 13 hours (so 26 for the pair). I completed the last 8 or 9 of those hours between Saturday and Sunday (I basically got up on Sunday and started knitting at 7am and finished up when it was time to leave at 12:15pm). Ugh.

Besides the blanket I’ve been working on for almost a year, the next project in my queue is a new Christmas stocking for Jake. Just to be safe, I’m going to start that next month.
