can you hear it?

Thunder in the Valley is back! I went downtown yesterday afternoon and there were people everywhere. I don’t know if it’s more or less than previous years, but it was quite crowded. I wanted to see Jasmine Cain last night but, as much as I tried to make it happen, it didn’t. She was playing from 7-9 at PNG Park. This year, they were charging to get in. No problem there, it was only $5 and I’m sure that’s a good way for them to raise funds since pretty much everything else is free to do. Anyway, I went down there before 7 and could not find a parking space anywhere. I ended up parking about a block and half away from Coney Island, which is on the opposite end of town. So, it took me 15-20 minutes to walk to the park. By this point it was after 7:30. But, since they were charging admission, there was a huge line of people waiting to get in and the line wasn’t exactly moving quickly. I figured until I got in it would be time to turn around and walk back to the car. So much for that.

She’s playing again tonight, but I bet it will be even more crowded. I probably will not try again tonight only because I have things to do. It seems like I’ve been running all over the place this month.
