My grandmother has always made the cakes for our family celebrations, birthday and otherwise. Due to age and health issues she is no longer able to do this task, so the torch has been passed to me. Jake and I went to her apartment this afternoon to collect her recipes and pans, so I’m all set for the next family event. At least I don’t have to decorate them–my mom has always handled that end of things.
