In preparation for buying a property for Brian’s business, we set up an LLC which will own the property (because it’s the smart thing to do). Brian also converted his business to an s-corp as of January 1. So, there are all kinds of interesting things going on around here. If your definition of interesting includes accountants and lawyers, that is. We met with our accountant this evening to go over the details and are now all set. I’ve felt sort of in limbo since the beginning of the year, but now that the deal is done, I really feel like things are moving forward. And, closing on the building next Friday will surely magnify that feeling even further. And, once we get the bills for the accountant and the lawyer, I’m sure that the feeling will set in for good.
