journey restaurant

Since I had to cook all week at the cabin, I thought it would be nice to go out for dinner this weekend. I’ve been wanting to try the new Indian place, Journey Restaurant, and it did not disappoint! Everything was so delicious. It was one of the best meals I have had at a restaurant. Jake got Tandoori Cauliflower for an appetizer and it was amazing. I’m not much of a cauliflower fan, but I really liked it–the seasoning on it was top notch. For our entrees, I got Chicken Tikka Butter Masala and he had the Butter Chicken. They let you adjust the spice level for your tastes (on a scale from 1-10). I went with a 4 and he went with a 5. The 5 was pretty spicy. I think 4 is where it’s at for me. I also had some sort of pineapple drink with tequila (sort of like a pineapple Margarita, I suppose). It, too, was excellent. Jake had a Mango Lassi to drink. All around, it was a great experience, though I’d recommend a reservation if you go on a weekend. We didn’t have one and got the last available table.
