the weekend

I had an extra long weekend, as I took off Thursday and Friday. Thursday, I went to the Flight 93 National Memorial. Friday, I made a Home Depot run in the morning and then baked and frosted a birthday cake in the afternoon.

Saturday, my family went to Rizzo’s to celebrate my Mom’s, Dad’s and Grandmother’s birthdays (hence the cake). And today, Jake asked me to go to the Art Walk in the Park with him because his girlfriend’s brother was doing pet drawings there (Jake got a nice one of Tilly!).

I did a bunch of other things, too, of course, mostly chores around the house. And a few naps.

It was a pretty busy weekend and I can’t believe summer is coming to an end. I’m not a fan of the winter, but it is nice having less things to do. The yard and garden take up so much of my time, not to mention outside projects that need to be done.
