Yesterday afternoon, I met up with a friend (who I met through online dating last year) and we walked our dogs at Stackhouse Park. Turns out, it was pretty hot and humid yesterday. But, we made it.

Last night, I had a first date with guy #4. We went to The Boulevard Grill for drinks. I intended on getting out of there after an hour, but ended up staying for three! We spent the first two in the restaurant and the last one on the bench outside of the restaurant. He seemed really nice and we had a lot to talk about. We’re planning on meeting up again soon. He works out of town during the week and has two younger kids that he has on the weekends so dating will be a bit tricky. Will the out of town thing get old after a while? Maybe, maybe not. I kind of like time to myself, so it might not be that big of a deal. I mean, I’m not necessarily looking to get married again and/or even live with someone (never say never, but that’s not on the radar at the moment). But, would it be nice to have someone to go places with on the weekends? Definitely.

That said, earlier in the week I turned off all my online dating profiles because I’m finding it to mostly be a waste of time. This is hardly the first time I’ve done this and I’m sure I’ll turn it back on again at some point, but for now, I’m taking a break.
