misfits market

I’m always disappointed when the CSA season comes to an end. While we eat a lot of canned and frozen vegetables all winter, the fresh selections at the grocery store leave something to be desired, so I don’t buy a whole lot of fresh veggies. I heard about Misfits Market and figured I’d give it a try. I’ve gotten a few boxes so far and I’m pretty happy with it. We’ve had pretty nice selections of stuff (and, unlike our CSA, they include fruit). I will say some of the more delicate stuff (like lettuce) doesn’t have a long shelf life, but I’ve been making it work. The price might be a little high, but I do feel like I’m getting a good amount of produce for my money. And, it’s organic, so you can’t beat that. While this isn’t going to replace my CSA subscription, it’s a nice supplement in the winter.
