beer party

This evening we went to a beer tasting party at my former manager’s house. I was glad he still had the party given what transpired at work a few weeks ago.

I don’t drink beer, so I sipped on some wine this evening (but not too much as I was the designated driver). Brian really enjoyed trying the different beers, though. As usual, it was a good time. We always have a good time at Doug’s parties. If you don’t, you have no one to blame but yourself.

When we dropped Jake off at the baby sitter’s, we gave them a bottle of our homemade wine. They’ve had a few bottles of my wine in the past and they really seemed to like them. My rule of thumb is if you like my wine, I will give you more. As a bonus, they gave us a bottle of homemade Kahlua. I tried it as soon as we got home and it was excellent, so I fixed myself a Black Russian to close out the night. I’m going to have to get the recipe for this stuff. Perhaps making liqueurs will be my new hobby for 2007.
