alone again

Wednesday night, Jake and Brian had a pinewood derby thing going on at our church. It was for “men” only, so I spent the evening at home doing my usual stuff (cleaning, laundry, nap, etc.). They ate supper there, too, so I didn’t have to cook that night. It’s always nice to have a night off cooking. Of course, Brian now cooks a few nights a week, so I catch some breaks there. But when you don’t cook at all, there’s also no kitchen to clean (alright. I had to eat something, so I fried up a couple of eggs, but I’d hardly call that cooking.)

Tonight was “go and see it” night for Jake’s cub scout den. They went to a Johnstown Riverhawks game. Brian handles all of the scout stuff, so he went to the game. So, here I am again. I thought about going shopping this evening–I need to run to Ollie’s and to Boscov’s (not to mention go grocery shopping at some point), but after working at home all day, I hate to go out in the cold, so I’m going to save that for the weekend when the weather is a little nicer. Many people, after working at home all day, might relish the thought of getting out of the house. I’m not one of them.
