I heard a lot about this movie, and it starred the actor I love to hate (Jesse Plemons), but it was directed by the same guy (Yorgos Lanthimos) as this movie, which I wasn’t a big fan of, so I was torn. But I didn’t have anything else in my “free” movie queue (that is, on streaming platforms I am currently paying for), so I watched it. It was about the kidnapping of a CEO by two conspiracy theorists who thought she was an alien sent to destroy the earth. The movie was ok until the end, which was in the director’s usual surreal/absurdist style, which apparently I do not like.
