Most notably, this was the last film Rob Reiner directed before he and his wife were murdered by their son. What a terrible thing. This movie was ok. It had a lot of funny dialogue, but you had to pay attention, or you’d miss it. I saw the original film ages ago, so I can’t remember how it compares. Rob Reiner will be missed. In addition to being Meathead on All in the Family, he directed some of my favorite films: The Princess Bride, Stand By Me, Misery, and When Harry Met Sally…, just to name a few.
