The leaf peeping was subpar today, but it was still better than going to work! I checked out the Scenic Overlook Tower at Laurel Hill State Park this morning. Due to the lack of rain, a lot of the trees have already dropped their leaves, and the remaining ones are mostly green. But it was a pretty morning to be outside. I’m not sure what was going on, but there were dozens of people doing something in the woods. It looked like they may have been college students on a field trip. At least none of them were at the tower. There’s nothing worse than going to the woods for some peace and quiet and running into people.
