I went to visit Jake and Amelia over the weekend. I arrived early Friday evening, and we ordered pizza from Mellow Mushroom. It was tasty! Saturday morning, we picked up some donuts from Route 8 Donuts and spent the afternoon checking out the stores in Floyd. I bought a cool wall-mounted planter at Lichen or Knot Plant Company, and Jake did some Christmas shopping. We also stopped at a thrift store on the way there, and Jake bought a couple of tools to add to his collection.
I was looking for an ingredient for a recipe, so we went to Oasis World Market on Sunday morning. I found what I was looking for and picked up a few other items, too. We also checked out Earth Fare. I could spend a lot of money there! Sunday afternoon, we went to Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival, got lobster rolls from Cousins Maine Lobster for lunch, and checked out the animals and other stuff around the farm. I drove home today (Monday).
Unfortunately, Amelia wasn’t able to join us on any of our outings because she was studying for her boards, which she’s taking next month. We did get to hang out a little in the evenings, so that was nice. And she brought home a tiny foster kitten on Saturday night. So cute!
I am beat, though. That’s a lot of driving for one weekend. But it’s back to work tomorrow.
