This is the latest book by Stephen King. I couldn’t wait to read it. I bought it as soon as it came out, but I saved it for vacation. Unfortunately, it was not that great, as you can probably surmise, since I’ve been reading it since my trip. I had high hopes for it because it was another entry in the Holly series, and those are usually pretty good (well, all of his books are typically great). But this one had a ridiculous plot–kind of like a James Patterson novel with two killers and plot lines circling around each other. Honestly, the one killer would have been enough. The other one was extraneous. Anyway, there are very few Stephen King books that I have not liked, but this is one of them. His wife didn’t like it either. Upon reading the first draft, she said, “You can do better.”
