animal lover, gardener, knitter, and gourmet cook

friends, lovers, and the big terrible thing

This was Matthew Perry’s autobiography. Of all the celebrity deaths, his hit me the hardest. Friends is my all-time favorite show. I have watched it countless times and still find it hilarious to this day. For those reasons, I purchased this book. But, I kind of wish I hadn’t. I knew he had substance abuse issues, but not to this extent. The book was almost entirely about that, mostly because his life was entirely about that. And it was quite repetitive, chapter after chapter of addicted, in rehab, out of rehab, sober, in a relationship, out of a relationship, etc. I mean, I feel bad for the guy, especially the way things ended for him, but I did not need to know the details.
