eighteen

It's hard to believe, but Jake turned 18 yesterday. He has turned out to be a fine young man.

Like usual, we went to Rey Azteca (on Friday) to celebrate and then we had the family over on Sunday for a Mother's Day/birthday party. It was a good time, but I swear we can never catch a break with the weather. Too early in the season, I guess. We even got the patio all ready to go as it was originally supposed to be nice.

Also, I was treated to breakfast and a newspaper as soon as I got up on Sunday. That was a nice suprprise!

Brian and I spent all day Saturday cooking. We didn't have a firm headcount, so we ended up with a little more leftovers than anticipated. But, that's fine with me as I won't have to cook supper for a day or two.
